In partnership with North East London NHS Foundation Trust, the Waltham Forest Beacon is a free mental health support service for individuals aged 18 and over, available in the evenings and weekend.

It is a welcoming, calm, and inclusive space where people living in Waltham Forest can drop in, feel supported, and take a moment for themselves, no appointment needed.

How to access the service

Drop-ins are welcome, or referral by a professional.

Support will include:

  • A non judgemental, safe space to talk about how you’re feeling.

  • Information, referrals, and signposting to helpful services.

  • Drop in sessions for those moments when you really need to talk.

  • Planned one to one support, via telephone or in-person.

  • Help to create a recovery plan for your future wellbeing.

  • Emotional support from trained peer workers with lived experience.

  • Telephone interpreter support available for those who may struggle to communicate in English.

Open 365 days a year

Weekdays: Monday - Friday at 5:30pm - 10pm 

Weekends and Bank Holidays: 3pm - 10pm
