With one in three employees having experienced domestic abuse over the course of 12 months*, employers have a key role to play in offering safe routes to support. The Everyone’s Business Award is a best practice kitemark awarded by Hestia, in conjunction with the Employer’s Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA), to businesses who have demonstrated their commitment to supporting their employees who are impacted by domestic abuse.

The winners were selected by an independent panel and had to meet strict criteria in order to be considered. The criteria included having a clear domestic abuse strategy, engagement in sector networks, a domestic abuse policy or guidance for employees, and evidence of training.

Katie Osiadacz, Head of Responsible Business, TSB, said: "Across the whole of TSB we're incredibly committed to our work to support victim-survivors of domestic abuse, as we know the difference it can make. We're proud to receive this recognition from Hestia and I know that it will mean a lot to colleagues who have done so much to help."

Joy from London Borough of Hounslow and Patrick Ryan, Chief Executive at Hestia

Patrick Ryan, Chief Executive of Hestia said: “We are proud to recognise the outstanding commitment that these two organisations have shown to supporting employees experiencing domestic abuse. By creating a culture where survivors are believed and supported, we make it safer for anyone affected by domestic abuse to come forward and get the help they need. TSB and the London Borough of Hounslow are leading the way on this, and we hope that other organisations are inspired by their efforts.”
