Hestia are the best - and I want to help
So many people are affected daily, but shame stops the conversation. Let's help to lift the shame by making it safe to talk about abuse - it's NEVER your fault and you are not alone.
May is Mental health awareness week and am looking forward to kicking it off with my mega workout challenge! I've been teaching fitness classes with Hestia's Good Energy Club for over two years now. Its an amazing program that encourages Kingston residents struggling with their mental health to engage in Physical exercise which helps them on their recovery journey. Lock down has been a challenge for us all and I have been blown away by the resilience of the Good Energy Club m
I am passionate about protecting vulnerable people, which is demonstrated both in my career and personal life. I want to play my part in saying no more to domestic abuse.

Hestia provide vital support and I want to help raise awareness
The Mishcon Reputation team is incredibly moved by the impact of Covid-19 on the women and families supported by Hestia through its domestic abuse and emergency accommodation services. Calls to Hestia's refuge referral line have increased by 200% since the outset of the pandemic, and are expected to increase further as the restrictions on our movements continue. Not only are call numbers rocketing, but the cases being dealt with are more complex and require specialist support.
HSBC has been proud to work with Hestia over a number of years and as a team we have spent some time learning about what Hestia does and how we can help. We want to raise as much as possible for a great charity.
