Safe Spaces

Physical Safe Spaces

Hestia and UK SAYS NO MORE Safe Spaces provide somewhere for anyone experiencing domestic abuse to safely call a helpline, support service or loved one.

In response to growing concerns about a rise in domestic abuse during the national Covid-19 lockdown, UK SAYS NO MORE launched Safe Spaces inside HSBC UK and TSB banks, Boots, Superdrug, Morrisons pharmacies, as well as in hundreds of independent pharmacies across the UK. Safe Spaces is supported by the players of People’s Postcode Lottery Recovery fund.

The Safe Spaces scheme has continued to grow and is now facilitated in over 6,000 pharmacies and banks nationally.

Online Safe Spaces

Online Safe Spaces launched in the summer of 2020 in partnership with the Royal Mail Group, providing a portal of information and resources on company websites for people experiencing domestic abuse.

The portal provides another opportunity for people experiencing domestic abuse to seek support and does not show up on browsing history. Online Safe Spaces are currently available on national websites including Royal Mail, Post Office, Thames Water and Network Rail.

You can access the portal by clicking on the Safe Spaces logo on participating websites. Click on the logo at the bottom of this page to access Hestia's Online Safe Space.

If your company is interesting in facilitating Online Safe Spaces on your website for free, email [email protected]  to register your interest.
