What will I be doing?

Your main task will be to take calls to assess the needs of women fleeing from domestic abuse and help them to gain a refuge place within one of our refuges across 12 London boroughs. In doing so, you'll provide women and children with safety, changing and potentially saving their lives. This service relies solely on volunteers, so your support is absolutely vital.

We are currently looking for volunteers with good communication skills over the phone. You will be fully trained on how to deal with the complexity of the situations of those in crisis.

What will my hours be?

We’re currently looking for volunteers that are able to offer a minimum of 4 hours either weekly or biweekly, Monday to Friday.

Where will I be based?

Our Domestic Abuse, Assessment & Referral Service is based in East London. Exact location details will be provided as you advance in your volunteer application.
