Hestia appoints Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Hestia appoints Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Crisis charity Hestia has appointed its first Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Samantha Uwadiae. Samantha joins Hestia from the Digital, Media, Culture and Sports Government Department where she was Talent, Diversity and Senior Leaders Performance Manager. Samantha Uwadiae, Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Hestia said: “What excites me about joining Hestia is the organisation’s genuine commitment towards creating a more equitable, diverse and inclusive organisation. I appreciate their dedication towards wanting to build an inclusive culture, courage to challenge themselves and admit more needs to be done and willingness to work in collaboration with staff, volunteers, and service users to identify, understand and address inequities. So, their people feel respected and more able to bring their authentic and full selves to work, free of discrimination and barriers”. Hestia provide high quality support for adults and children in crisis across London. Working in collaboration with local authorities and partners, they strive to ensure that everyone within their care is equipped with the tools necessary for a life beyond a crisis.
