The IARS International Institute is thrilled to invite you to our exciting “Abused No More” event that will be held on 23 April from 18:00 -21:00 at Lecture Theatre 1 Cruciform Building, UCL (University College London), Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT in support of refugee and asylum-seeking women who are survivors of gender-based violence. Motivational talk will be delivered by Maimuna Jawo from our Abused No More project, a committed fighter for women's rights, campaigner against FGM and a leader in the Movement for Justice. A powerful performance will also be presented by Ice & Fire entitled "Even if we lose our lives" based on in-depth interviews with three Afghan women fighting for peace and protection of women’s rights.
