About us Where we work Folkestone and Hythe District Our services in Folkestone and Hythe District The Folkestone Haven The Folkestone Haven will remain open through England's second lockdown, providing face-to-face support those in crisis. The Folkestone Haven, run by charity Hestia, is open as a new evening and weekend support service for anyone from the District over the age of 18 experiencing challenges with their mental health. Support offered includes specific support to people across the Folkestone and the District who may be struggling with their mental health during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The service aims to reduce the number of people accessing A&E departments and decrease pressure on other emergency services, including the police and the ambulance service. Customers can speak to a trained Recovery Worker, who will offer a listening ear and mental health support. Funded by the NHS and a consortium of Kent based Trusts, include Roger De Haan Charitable Trust, the Folkestone Haven provides advice for anyone feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious.
