Floating support is support that is not linked to accommodation, but often operates within a certain vicinity e.g. a London borough.

This service provides advice and support to service users who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence, assisting them to live safely in their own homes. Support is given for up to 6 months, depending on the service users’ needs. The service promotes empowerment, choice, control and independence and encourages service users to make informed choices and take control of their future.

Service users are referred by Hillingdon council.
