On October 20^th I co-delivered Hestia’s Safeguarding conference “Moving Online: The Future of Safeguarding in The Voluntary Sector Event 2020” with Gayle​ Lowery‑Jones, Hestia's Director of Operations.

I helped with the preparation and planning for the day which involved Zoom calls with Gayle. I was able to give feedback and make amendments and we discussed which slides I would be delivering. On the day of the conference there were a few technical issues, we both stayed calm, and overcame these then everything went well.

I delivered the slides about safeguarding, how important it is and answered questions at the end. The feedback from participants was brilliant and they said they had found the opportunity to ask me questions particularly helpful.

I found the experience very rewarding as I have gained even better understanding and knowledge about safeguarding as well as gaining presentation skills.
