The EIDA Network

The Employers Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA) has established a network of hundreds of organisations, big and small, who are all working to take action on domestic abuse. EIDA hold regular network meetings throughout the year, where businesses have the opportunity to share their learnings so far, as well as to hear from professionals within the domestic abuse sector and those who have personally experienced domestic abuse.

Hestia has worked closely with EIDA for several years, and we continue to work closely with them in ensuring more employers are able to support staff affected by domestic abuse.

Safe Spaces

Hestia’s UK SAYS NO MORE campaign is working with pharmacies across the UK to provide Safe Spaces in their consultation rooms.

Victims of domestic abuse can ask to use the consultation room in Boots, Morrisons and Superdrug pharmacies, as well as in dozens of independent pharmacies across the country.

Once in a Safe Space, individuals will be able to find and contact specialist domestic abuse support services and helplines, or use the Space as somewhere to collect their thoughts or phone a loved one.

UK SAYS NO MORE seeks to unite and strengthen a diverse community of members of the public and organisations nationwide to actively take a stand against domestic abuse and sexual violence under one powerful, visual symbol. The campaign provides open-source tools and resources for individuals and organisations to take action and get involved in making a difference. Together we can challenge the myths and misconceptions around these issues, share resources and information, and ultimately work together to make real positive change.
