About the Bright Sky service directory

In the ‘Find Help’ section of the Bright Sky app you can search for local and national support services by location. This is the most popular feature of the app, and it is critical that users are able to find specialist help quickly and easily.

Services listed within the service directory

  • National helplines for people experiencing domestic abuse or sexual violence
  • Specialist local domestic abuse services
  • Sexual Assault Referral Centres and services providing support from an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate

All services listed should:

  • offer immediate support via self-referral,
  • be able to support high risk victims of domestic abuse,
  • have the appropriate training or accreditation to support high risk victims e.g. IDVA/IDAA or DAPA,
  • have a public-facing contact number, preferably 24 hours

Why aren’t all services listed in Bright Sky?

In each area there will be a variety of local services for victims of domestic abuse. Access to these services vary across the UK and our aim with the Bright Sky services directory is to provide every user, including those who might be at immediate risk, with a central point of access to support, including referrals to other local services.
