In 2018, we supported nearly 500 people in London across our offender rehabilitation services. The service works to help individuals establish and maintain their place in the community by making positive choices, and helps to prevent re-offending.

Every small donation you give enables us to continue providing this support, helping to change life for people like Khristoph*.

Khristoph's* Story

After serving a 16 year prison sentence, Khristoph was supported at Hestia's Approved Premises. From the off, it was positive, with Khristoph able to access luxuries he didn't have while in prison, including being able to help himself to food, coffee and tea, and small things like access to a washing machine and dryer.

With the help of a support worker, Khristoph was able to ease back into the community and access help from the council and other agencies. At first, it was an experience he dreaded. With the right support, this dread became non-existent. Khristoph found that his support worker was always there when he needed help, or someone sensible to talk to.

Meetings were held at the Approved Premises to ensure that concerns and suggestions were listened to. Khristoph was able to help organise a five-a-side football team, and be involved in the planning of trips and barbecues. This enabled him to work his way back into the community, and get his life back off on the right foot.

Now, nine months later, Khristoph is living in his own one bedroom flat, and things continue to look on the up for him.
